Stripe Tights

Vintage coat // Loft dress // Nordstrom tights // Target shoes

Happy New Year! Made all those new year resolutions that you know you aren't going to keep? :) Well I hope that everyone had a great 2011, and what better way to end the year than with a pair of vertical stripe tights!

Vintage sweater // Glo Jeans jeans // Deena & Ozzy shoes // Macy's bag

Just a casual post. I've practically been living in sweater + jean combos all break. And who doesn't love a good ol' Christmas sweater? :)

Christmas Plaid

Worthington leather jacket // Vintage blouse, shorts, and belt // Simply Vera necklace // Target shoes

This is what I wore yesterday since the shorts were absolutely screaming Christmas. And recently I've really been loving plaid on plaid, so hopefully I'll have a post of that up sometime. (Although probably not too soon since these are the only plaid bottoms I have!) I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Almost Christmas

Dockers sweater // Vintage skirt, bracelet, and glasses // Deena & Ozzy shoes

Moving has been really tiring, but I've found a lot of my parent's old clothes that they don't want anymore. I found a couple sweaters (the one I'm wearing was my dad's) and some skirts. There were a lot of really nice coats too but they were unfortunately not my size. Well it's almost Christmas! I hope everyone has a great break!

Casual Holiday Looks

Casual Holiday Looks

So here's the casual look guide as promised.

For just lounging around at home I like to keep things simple in chunky knits and flats. I also really love comfy fabrics like velvet and corduroy which are great for the holidays. And of course I had to throw in some bling.

Holiday Looks

Holiday Looks

Sorry for the inactivity! I was really busy with finals this week and I'm actually moving on Sunday so we've been busy packing. I couldn't do an outfit post since most of my clothes are being packed but I've put together some holiday looks since a lot of you are probably going to holiday parties. :)

Some tips:
~Faux Fur: I love faux fur and I think it's such a great way to add some instant glamour to an outfit. I think it's esp. great  in colorful hues for parties.

~Sparkle: Sequins, glitter, and shine are perfect for the holidays!

~Metallic and Jewel Tones: Rubies, emeralds, sapphires, silvers and golds are all great colors to look festive.

~Leather: Sorry I don't have any pictured, But I love a great leather skirt or short with an oversized sweater for a casual chic look.

~Accessorize: I think that a great statement necklace is always fabulous for parties. And for bags, I really love the envelope clutch trend! To top it all off, wear a pair of killer shoes and you're all set! :)

P.S. For all those who are simply taking going to it easy at home with family (like me), don't worry, I'll have a post with some casual holiday looks up soon!

Neutral

Jacket: Conrad C Collection , Sweater: Old Navy , Skirt: Vintage , Tights: Wet Seal , Shoes: Target , Necklace (worn as anklet): Simply Vera , Belt: vintage

It doesn't show up too well on the photos but the tights are very sparkly and add a bit more interest to the outfit. Also, I've really been loving anklets, and this necklace was perfect since you can simply wrap it around a few times and tie.
