Mint Duster

Vintage mint duster, speckled maxi skirt worn as hi-lo dress, metallic lavender belt // Steve Madden "Grettta" heels

I love dusters and long, flowy outerwear! I was slightly hesitant to buy this duster at first, since I had gotten a somewhat similar sheer duster (seen here) just a few months before. But I had nothing else mint colored (gasp) and it was only $5, so I figured why not. It's not very noticable in these photos, but the duster has slits on the sides, so there's really nice movement when the wind blows. I'm always a fan of clothes with great movement! I really want to get a long kimono jacket next, maybe one with fringe!

Beaded Leather Shorts

Forever 21 sheer shirt, leather shorts // H&M clear strap sandals, bodycon skirt (from this post) worn as tube top

I was searching for a pair of black leather shorts for winter, but came across these instead. The light blush / nude shade made it ideal for spring and summer and I couldn't resist the beaded detailing! Leather shorts are great for days when it's too hot for pants, but still a little chilly out. I also love the soft, buttery feel, which makes them super comfy! But while I'm set for summer and maybe some of fall, I'm still on the quest to find the perfect leather shorts for winter. (Yes, I'm already starting to build my winter wardrobe! You know you were ready to rock those spring pastels while freezing in January.) I'm looking for a pair in a darker color like black or burgundy. If I'm lucky, I might be able to find one with studs and it can act as a counterpart to this pair!

In Full Bloom

Vintage Old Navy denim jacket // Eshakti dress from giveaway // TBA (To Be Announced) shoes

New shoes! My family always complains that I have too many shoes. But really, one can never have too many shoes! I love the fun color as well as the lacing and gold tips. This was also my first time ordering from Solestruck and I just have to take a moment to comment on their service. Inside the package, they included a specially customized Solestruck bandaid that says "Shoe Addict". I just thought that it was such a cute and thoughtful gesture because everyone understands the pain of breaking in new shoes! Haha, I just had to share that since it was so sweet. But luckily these shoes are so comfortable and bandaids will not be needed. :) (Flats on the other hand....) Well, have a great rest of the week and go crazy at those 4th of July sales!

PS: Use the code FL24FAN for 10% off at Eshakti! Can be combined with other offers online. Ends August 31, 2012.

Metallic Hair Cuff

Vintage blazer, shirt, skirt // H&M hair cuff // Pierre Dumas snakeskin shoes

I'm not huge on hair trends, (Don't get me wrong, I love well styled hair, but I can't braid or curl or anything for my life!), so I love the simplicity of a hair cuff. There's a hair tie connected to the cuff, so you just tie your hair in a ponytail and cuff the cuff over it. Easy! (Haha, I used to try squeezing my hair through rings to create the same effect.... it didn't quite work.) Next, I want to try a floral crown. Not sure if I would wear one in public yet, but they're beautiful for photos. :) I wish they would sell them at flower stores though, since I'm usually too lazy to create one myself. Anyone else have any favorite hair trends?

Socks and Heels

Vintage polka dot shirt and socks // LC Collection petal blouse // Wet Seal lavender shorts // ALDO velvet shoes

I love a good collection of socks. :) They're absolutely essential during winter, but summer socks can be just as nice. Find almost sheer, lightweight socks and you'll barely feel them. They can add a fun twist to so many outfits. These socks are from when I was a child, and I've just recently rediscovered them. They're mint so I love pairing them with other pastels. They also go great with polka dots and florals. I can't seem to stop wearing them with these floral shorts!

Watercolor Print

Maxi Dress c/o Sugarlips // Target shoes // Bar necklace from Romiya's giveaway // AEO rock necklace // Forever 21 feather necklace // Vintage cross necklace

I love this dress from Sugarlips! It has a loose fit for a slouchy look, and of course I can't resist anything sheer! It's kind of hard to tell, but there are slits on both sides which really helps create great movement. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't windy when the photos were taken; you haven't seen the true potential of the dress yet! :) Sugarlips also has many other great products, and they're always looking for new bloggers to help promote their brand so be sure to check them out!

Body Chain

Vintage shirt // Mudd jeans // Macy's body chain // H&M shoes

It's finals week! I've been gravitating towards easy, effortless looks while studying, so it's just a simple look today. You can't go wrong with the classics! I added a body chain to add a little extra oomph; I always love a great statement piece!
