A preppier outfit for the back to school season! I've been looking for a good plaid shirt for a while now and was really excited to receive this shirt from Front Row Shop. It's super comfy and will be great for fall. Front Row Shop also has a lot of other great products to check out. I've especially been loving all the fishtail skirts in their new arrivals. Also, I've been wearing these shoes non-stop recently. I got them back in spring, and the quality is great. They're really similar to the Zara flats from a couple seasons back, but were, luckily for my wallet, a lot cheaper. :)

Black Floral Dress

I just got sick a few days ago, and it feels terrible. :( Especially since it's been about 90 degrees outside these past few days, and I've been dying from the heat in addition to my fever. Also, I somehow ended up singing to music videos at the top of my lungs while resting which did not help my sore throat at all. Any tips on how to feel better?

Stripe Peplum Top

These are some pictures from when I went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk a short while back. It was super fun, but the sand was so hot! I hopped around barefoot for a couple minutes before hurrying back to regular ground. This is why I need to get flip flops. However, all my previous flip flops hurt my feet between the big and second toes, so I've been reluctant to buy flip flops recently. I've heard that Havaianas are really comfortable, so I'm thinking of trying a pair. Where would you recommend to get comfy flip flops?

Ruffles and Prints

I love prints, and I wear them all the time, but I actually don't know what the print on the dress I'm wearing is called. I was trying to type out the outfit details and was stuck on the print for the longest time. They kind of look like paint dots but it could also be an abstract kind of floral. What would you call it? Also, I'm applying to colleges this year! While college sounds exciting, the admissions process is not looking fun so far. I would love to hear about all your college experiences and how it is. :)

Yay! School's finally over, and it's summer. :) I can't wait to have some fun and eat ice cream before having to dive into college apps and summer classes. These pictures were actually taken at a theme park that I went to with my family a couple days ago. Most of the rides were for little kids, so I mainly just watched my little sister play, but it was still really fun. I've never been very good with roller coasters and scary rides, but I decided to go on this banana ride that didn't look too scary. It was like one of those pirate ship rides (kind of like this) that you typically see in amusement parks but smaller and in the shape of a giant banana instead of a ship. I went in pretty confident since most of the other riders I saw on the ride before before were kids that seemed to have no problem with it. Plus, what could possibly go wrong in a giant banana, right? Wrong. I was scared out of my wits and screaming in terror the entire time. What a deceivingly cute looking banana boat. Haha, after that the only ride I dared go on was the carousel. Do you guys like scary rides? If you do, tell me your secrets of how not to be afraid.

Yay, AP testing is over! I can't wait for summer after finals. It was really windy yesterday. Haha, my hair was flopping all over the place when I was taking the photos. But I love wearing this skirt on windy days because it has such great movement thanks to the slits. And lots of thanks to the lovely people at Handbag Heaven who sent me this clutch; I love the stud detailing. Handbag Heaven has a great selection of bags so be sure to check them out!

Casual

You can never go wrong with jeans, scarf, and a cardi for a casual outfit. All pieces are comfy and add a relaxed feel. I feel like scarves in particular are great for creating casual looks. Sometimes I'm deciding whether to use a statement necklace or scarf, and the effect is totally different. I also like knotting my scarves for a slightly different look. And I didn't notice until now, but I'm wearing four different prints! Print mixing is so fun since just about all prints look good together. :)
