Tweed Peplum Top

Tweed peplum top c/o Sugarlips // Vintage skirt // Forever 21 polka dot tights // Kimchi Blue cap toe wedges

I have been searching for the perfect peplum top since the trend first came out, but I was never able to find an affordable one. I was beyond thrilled when I finally found this one at Sugarlips! I have a major obsession with tweed, and I love how this top has frayed edge details. I got these wedges from Urban Outfitters while they were having an extra 50% off sale shoes promotion. They were on sale for $20 in store, so I was super excited to snag these for only $10! And just an interesting point to note: these shoes hardly make a sound! I don't really mind the "click, clack" of heels, but it can make it really hard to be sneaky sometimes. Looks like I finally have a pair of stealthy heels! UO 50% off sales are amazing, so I was really disappointed that I didn't have a chance to go to their Black Friday sale. I unfortunately caught a cold over the holiday wasn't able to go shopping. I even had a nightmare about all the amazing Black Friday sales that I was missing! I'll just have to make this year up by shopping twice as much on Black Friday next year!

What to Wear on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Outfits

Thanksgiving Outfits 2

With Thanksgiving coming up, I thought I'd make some holiday outfits! :) I was originally only planning on making three outfits but ended up making six because there were so many great pieces on Polyvore! Thanksgiving is a holiday for quality time with family and lots of eating, so the two most important components of a Thanksgiving outfit are: 1. looking polished and presentable for the family and 2. wearing clothes that can hide the effects of the delicious Thanksgiving feast! Dalmatian and Polka Dots

Lulu's moto jacket // Forever 21 dalmation print long sleeve shirt // Gap Kids polka dot jeans (other prints available here) // Steve Madden 'Grettta' heels

Printed pants again? It actually wasn't intentional, but just goes to show how crazy I am over printed jeans! I unfortunately can't afford any of the gorgeous printed jeans available in women's sizes, so I was super excited to find some affordable pairs at Gap Kids! I also got my leopard print jeans from there, and hopefully I'll get a post up with those eventually. This is probably my first plain long sleeve shirt (well as plain as I can get), and now I'm definitely on the lookout for more because they're so comfy! Also, I absolutely love dalmatian print right now. It's possibly my favorite print of the moment because it goes with everything! My biggest regret of the summer was probably not buying these super cute dalmatian calf hair loafers. I definitely need more dalmatian in my life!

Ikat Jeans

Lauren Conrad jacket // Forever 21 sheer shirt // American Eagle ikat print jeans // Collar necklace c/o Oasap // Wild Rose clear cap toe shoes via Ebay available here and here

I have been obsessed with printed jeans recently! I currently have floral, tartan, polka dot, leopard, and ikat. And it's still not enough! American eagle has a great variety on sale right now. Plus there's extra 40% off clearance! I would recommend going in store because I found these for $20 in store while it's still $40 online. With the extra 40% off, these were only $12! I also have these jeans from American Eagle. It might not be very clear, but the shoes have clear paneling on the sides. I love clear shoes, ankle straps and cap toes, so I was super excited to find these shoes. They also look just like the Christian Louboutin "unbout" shoes. I can't afford anything even remotely designer, so I don't have a problem with look-alikes. Speaking of look-alikes, this necklace is similar to the oh so well known Dannijo collar necklace. I love Dannijo jewelry and can't wait for the day when I can afford the real thing!

Pink and Mint

Forever 21 polka dot sweater // Romwe sheer dot shirt (sold out but available in navy) thanks to Ocrun // Mint skirt c/o Rire // Givenchy pearl bracelet from giveaway // xoxo watch (Macy's) // Pierre Dumas snakeskin heels

With the huge pastel trend in spring, I couldn't believe how lacking I was in mint pieces! Thank goodness I found this skirt at Rire. It's a gorgeous shade of mint, and I love the airy feel! At first I was afraid that mint might only be good for the warmer months, but this skirt also looks great for fall/winter when paired with tights and a moto jacket. :) Also, I love mixing large polka dot prints with smaller ones. And how cute are the bows on the back of the sweater! This sweater was actually from the Forever 21 kids section. I really like getting clothes from kid sections because it's more affordable and so, so cute!

Metallic Blue

Metallic blue dress c/o Sugarlips // American Eagle Outfitters wool hat, thin rings // Oasap studded cuff // Vintage snakeskin belt, rings, cross necklace // Lulu's studded shoes

Wow I've been super busy lately! I had the SAT last week, and the PSAT is next week, so sorry for any lag in posts. And I've been talking about it for forever, but I've finally gotten around to posting with one of my new shoes! I've been so in love with pointy toe shoes (my other new shoe is also pointy toed... I couldn't resist!), and studded, too? Yes, please! Also, I love dresses with some structure or shape to them, so I was super excited when I saw this dress at Sugarlips. The print and color are really unique and great for winter. I also love how it's versatile because you can dress it up with a blazer or down with a sweatshirt. Did I ever mention how I love mixing super formal with super causal? Definitely one of my favorite combos!

A Bike Ride Through the Park

Lace floral top c/o Oasap // Urban Outfitters denim shorts // Target braided sandals and bike

Yesterday was one of those do-nothing-and-play-around kind of days, so I went biking with the familiy. :) It was actually really hot, and I wished that there was an ice cream stand at the park. Well... I'm pretty much always wishing for ice cream! But luckily this top has a lot of breath-ability, so I wasn't too hot. :) And it's not quite noticeable in these photos, but the sleeves have small flares at the bottom creating a mini bell sleeve effect. I absolutely love bell sleeves and really want to get a top or dress with bell sleeves for next summer! Also, I've been wanting to do a bike post for so long now! I bike to school everyday, so it's a wonder I didn't get to it earlier! Truthfully, most days I actually bike in heels. Haha, I used to get a lot of weird stares whenever I biked past, but now they're kind of used to it. :) Unfortunately I didn't get to show the new shoes I mentioned in the last post, but I'll definitely try to wear one in the next outfit post!
