Fall Pantsuit

Floral pantsuit c/o Sugarlips // American Eagle stone necklace // Deena & Ozzy shoes (UO)

I wore a summery pant in the last post, so to transition, today I'm wearing a floral pantsuit from Sugarlips which is perfect for fall! I usually don't wear pantsuits, but I love this one because it has great movement and is so comfortable. It's still kind of hot now, but I can't wait to wear this with a chunky sweater when it gets cooler! In other news, I bought some new stuff recently, so I might do a new-in post over the weekend if time allows. If not, I'm sure that you'll see everything in later outfit posts sooner or later because I can't wait to wear everything! I got 2 new shoes which is always exciting for me since I have a major shoe obsession. It's like my dream to have a shoe collection with shoes in every shape and color! Some people have amazing nail polish or bag collections, what can you never get enough of?

The Last Days of Summer

Forever 21 anchor print palazzo pants // Aeropostale top // Free People bag // Macy's spike cuff // Steve Madden "Grettta" heels

The weather is getting cooler and cooler, so I thought I'd do a summery outfit while I still had the chance! I actually got these pants way back in February but never got to posting with them. I love palazzo pants. They're really flowy like maxis (and I love maxis!), and make a great statement. So of course I couldn't resist, especially with the sheer and anchor print (I also love unique prints!). And this bag is the bag that Free People gives to put your clothes in when you buy one of their items (think like the yellow Forever 21 bags that I'm sure everyone is familiar with). The Free People bags are extra cute! I seriously bought something from Free People and returned it just to get the bag! (I actually did want to keep the item but the fit just wasn't right.) I also like Urban Outfitter bags because they're so sturdy. I used an UO bag all summer carrying textbooks and it's still in perfectly good shape! Haha, I'm a sucker for random service details like these!

Utility and Polka Dots

Forever 21 polka dot dress // Macy's vest // Vintage necklace // Pierre Dumas snakeskin heels

Lately I've really been craving an olive green utility jacket! I feel that it's a great transitional piece for fall. :) But since I don't have one at the moment, I found this vest which kind of has the same effect. (Well not really, but at least the color gives off the right vibe!) And speaking of which, I've suddenly come to like the color olive green! It's not that I didn't like the color before, but it just never stood out to me. (Except for on the essential olive green Hunter rain boots of course!) But I love lots of colors, and my favorite color for fall is probably still burgundy. What's your favorite color of the moment? :)

P.S. A few more days left to enter my giveaway for a $30 gift certificate to Rire Boutique!

Caramel Latte

Tulle skirt c/o Rire // Target t-shirt and lace-up heels

I've been wanting a poofy tulle skirt for well... forever! I was so sad that I lost the costume from my 5th grade ballet performance. It had the perfect tulle skirt! Well I probably wouldn't have been able to fit in it anyways... But I was so excited when I found this beauty at Rire! I love the lightness of the skirt, and the caramel, coffee-ish color is great for fall! And speaking of Rire, I have a Rire giveaway coming up very soon! Hopefully it'll be up within one or two days, so look forward to it! :)

P.S. Use the code "elephants" for 20% off your first purchase at Rire! Note that you must have an account and be logged in to use the code. Happy shopping!

Sky Print

Zara sky print dress // H&M lace shirt // Charlotte Russe feather necklace worn as bracelet // Steve Madden shoes

Sorry for the lack of post last week. I've been busy lately with school starting. :( But I love this new dress! I've been wanting something sky print for ages, and this is so comfy and effortless. I wore it with this lace top because I thought the scalloping on the bottom and created a cloud-like effect. :) I was originally planning to wear this with a blazer for a different kind of look, but I was feeling vintage today. Plus, I have a similar dress that goes well with the blazer. Hopefully I can get that up later! But I'm almost afraid to wear that dress anytime I have to sit somewhere. I feel like I might unpleat it with even the slightest wrong touch! It's not the best quality, but has anyone else ever had that problem before?

Colorblock Dress

Colorblock cutout dress c/o Sway Chic // H&M collar necklace, t-strap heels

This dress is probably the only colorblocked garment that I own. And now that I think about it, it's also the only piece I have with cutouts! Haha, late to the scene but at least I made it? :) It's such a bold dress that I didn't feel the need to add much else. (Plus, it was sizzling hot and I wasn't quite in the mood to do any layering. You should have seen how relieved I was when I finally found an area with shade!) Also, I wanted to create a sleek ponytail for this look; I figured that it wouldn't be too much more difficult than a regular ponytail. However, the hair styling gods were not shining down on me, and I ended up failing miserably. Well... at least it was better than my braiding! But other than my failed hair endeavors, special thanks to the lovely people at Swaychic.com who were kind enough to send me this stunning dress. Sway Chic offers a great variety of clothing and accessories at affordable prices, and everyone should definitely check it out!
