Floral

J Crew cardigan // Kohls shirt // Vintage dress (unbuttoned) // Urban Outfitters shorts // Wet Seal scarf // Deena & Ozzy shoes

I never really liked this dress as a dress, but it makes a great maxi cardigan when unbuttoned! I'd also like to thank Emmy from Scarberian Fashion Lover for the Liebster Blog Award! In other news, I'm absolutely dreading the start of track tomorrow! It's time consuming and I get extremely tan and muscular, extremely fast! The coach said that the first day was going to be extra hard! Wish me luck!

After the Rain

Covington blouse // Vintage skirt and belt // Gap tights // Sloggers shoes // Shedrain umbrella

There have been on and off showers all this week and I managed to sneak in an outfit post in one of the breaks in between. I unfortunately don't have any rain boots so I borrowed my mom's gardening shoes. Also, I've been wanting a little white dress for ages now but the blouse and skirt have a similar effect, no? Have a great week and Happy Chinese New Year!

Coral

Stella Starr jacket // Vntage skirt and blouse // Steve Madden heels

I really love hi-lo skirts and dresses. Although I still don't have one, it's really easy so make a makeshift one by tucking in the front of a maxi skirt. By the way, these shoes just arrived a little while ago and I absolutely love them! These're so easy to walk in and add a ton of height! You can still get them here although I think that they sell them cheaper in other places. Hope everyone has a great week! :)

Jewelry Innovations

Sparkle and Fade sweater // Silence + Noise suede patch jeans // H&M shoes // American Eagle Outfitters jewelry

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of posts. School is back again and I can probably only manage to update on the weekends now. But anyways, I ordered some jewelry online during the after Christmas sales and it finally came! Unfortunately most of it was completely different from how I pictured it and I was really disappointed. I was going to return most items at first but after a while I decided I could make it work. A few ideas are show below.

The main issue was that the necklaces were a lot longer than I thought they would be. At first I was thinking of cutting off a chunk of the chain to make it shorter, but I later realized that you could simply wrap it around twice and then clasp into place to make it shorter as seen in the first picture. You can also tie a knot in the back to adjust the length to your liking although not all necklaces may be able to do this depending on the type of chain.

As I mentioned a few posts back, I'm really loving anklets. And flexible necklaces or bracelets or ones which you can clasp and unclasp are really great for this.

You can also wrap necklaces around your hand to make bracelets.

Nothing interesting here, just some other things I got. I wanted to try getting the rings in my hair and using them as a hair tie, but they were just too small. But I've seen it done with napkin holders and it looks really cool.

I've been wanting to try the necklace belt for forever now but none of my necklaces were long enough. So if you have a long necklace, try making it into a belt!

That's all I've taken pictures of but the possibilities are endless! Just go and experiment and you can make a ton of interesting combinations!

P.S. My new shoes finally came! I bought them for more formal events but there's no doubt I'm going to be wearing them casually too. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that they're velvet so they might be too hot to wear in summer. But I have another pair of shoes coming soon so I can't wait! :)
